Privacy notice

What we collect, why we collect it, and how to have it removed. Last updated: this month.

1. Who we are

Big Brand Day is an independent editorial website publishing lifestyle guides at bigbrandday.com. For any question about this notice, or to exercise a right described below, contact privacy@bigbrandday.com.

2. What we collect

  • Information you give us. If you use the contact form or subscribe to the letter, we receive the name, email address and message you submit.
  • Technical information. Standard server logs — IP address, browser type, referring page and timestamps — created automatically when any website is requested.
  • Usage information. Aggregated page-view statistics that tell us which guides are read. We do not build individual reader profiles.

3. Why we use it

To reply to messages, to send the newsletter you asked for, to keep the site secure and available, and to understand which articles are useful. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers in identifiable form.

4. Cookies and affiliate tracking

We use a small number of functional cookies. When you click an affiliate or retailer link, the destination network may set its own cookies to attribute a sale; those cookies are controlled by that network, not by us. You can block cookies in your browser settings, and the site will continue to work.

5. Legal bases (EEA and UK readers)

We rely on legitimate interests for security logs and aggregated statistics, on consent for the newsletter, and on the performance of a request for correspondence you initiate.

6. Retention

Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months so we can follow up on corrections. Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are rotated regularly.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Write to privacy@bigbrandday.com and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Children

The site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

When this notice changes materially, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, note the change on the homepage.
